With all the new hype going on with "Sing Out" , "American Idol" and the new Fox show "Glee" you won't want to miss this one. If you recall the group "Max Factor" on the Sing Out program, they are one of our quartets in Sweet Adelines.
ReplyDeleteRight here in Chattanooga there is a Sweet Adelines, Region 23 competition held every year in March. This brings in approximately 700 beautiful smiling singing ladies from all over the South East Region including the Panhandle. We hold our convention at the Marriott Convention Center and the competition is held at the Memorial Auditorium. Sweet Adelines is a non profit organization promoting the American Art Form of Barbershop acapella singing. We just held our International competition in Oct of 2090 in Nashville, TN. with over 5000 in attendance. Worldwide there are over 27000 members and we have been in existence for over 55 years. We also hold the record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest recorded mass sing.
