A Sneak Peek at our August Issue

I've had babes on the brain these past couple of weeks as our staff is putting the final touches on our August issue--The "Babe" Issue. But not "babe" in the traditional, provoking, over-the-top-sexy sense. "Babe" in the small, innocent, changes-your-life, drives-you-up-the-wall-and-back-down, ever-needing, ever-loving, youth-inspiring sense. Babies!

For this issue of Blush, we scouted out the hottest kids' products; researched fun, effective ways to make you look and feel younger; and poured our hearts out over the hesitations and rewards that inevitably accompany parenthood.

Along the way, our editorial intern Morgan Baila stumbled upon some one-of-a-kind mommy blogs--written by mothers right here in Chattanooga.

As a sneak peek to our upcoming Babe issue, check out what these energetic, humorous, sometimes sarcastic, always insightful mom bloggers have to say about the challenges of motherhood:

With new products coming out daily that are advertised to help raise your kids, make them smarter or make your job as a mom easier, it’s difficult to decipher which ones truly are worth the investment. Tiffany, author of this product-savvy blog, understands this quandary and has set out to provide accurate and honest reviews of products that mommies everywhere will enjoy.
Mom Meghan centers herself around home schooling, family and faith, but with a little extra pizzazz. Between guest bloggers and sponsored giveaways, her readers can find everything and more on her blog. She shares some of her home school curriculum, personal recipes and even photography tutorials with her subscribers.
One to always keep her reader laughing is “Hotpants,” wife to “The Hero” and mother to “Little Man” and “Little Bit.” Her witty and off-the-wall updates keep her readers smiling and coming back for updates on anything from her favorite celebrity crush at the moment to her latest product review. If you need a laugh and a moment to embrace your inner teen, visit this entertaining blog.

Girls born and raised in the South typically have one thing in common: a love of sweet tea. Tammy, mom to a college sophomore, has dedicated her blog to that traditional infatuation with the southern trademark. Filled with random ramblings and all things southern and sweet tea-related, this is the place to visit when you need a quick reminder of your southern roots.
